If you are researching a known Dukie or Hib, then begin with the NAME index, make a note of any details found then check the REGIMENT index. This will indicate possible siblings.

If only a Regt is known, then check the Regiment Index, this may also indicate any name mis-transcription.

Regretfully, many of the boys names include those that did not attend, but will provide an indication that their father was a soldier, they were administered for admission but failed to attend.

More than 3,000 names do not include a date, however by looking at the Ledger page & position,  it is possible to guestimate their date of admission or discharge by the dates of boys on the same page of the ledger.
